Internship at EliteColumn

Internship at EliteColumn is a one on one 8-week / 12-week supervised program where students / graduates develop a strategy that bridges the gap between business theory and business reality.

Interns liaise with the EliteColumn supervisor, who is also the client to understand the nature of the problem, their requirements, and capabilities. Students / graduates engage with the client through a virtual collaboration platform and a series of regular meetings to clarify project deliverables and gather any data required from the business.

The internship primarily focuses on Junior Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Analyst, UX/UI Specialist and Social Media Manager roles.

Program Structure:

A key EliteColumn project contact is appointed and will be available throughout the duration of the project and attend virtual client meetings. The intern interacts with the EliteColumn project contact once a week and each session ranges between 45 mins to 1 hour. Below is a high-level program structure and it differs based on the role the intern opts for –

Week 1: Program induction and access check for the online tools. Overview of EliteColumn website, WordPress dashboard – Google Analytics – Google Search Console walkthrough. Problem statement discussion for the intern to solve.

Week 2: Intern to conduct a presentation based on the problem statement for 2-5 mins and share their findings, and feedback will be provided. Quick resume check will be conducted to identify areas of improvement. 

Week 3: Intern to conduct a presentation based on the problem statement for 2-5 mins and share their findings, and feedback will be provided. Update intern’s existing resume to suit the role the intern is looking for in the industry.

Week 4: Intern to conduct a presentation based on the problem statement for 2-5 mins and share their findings, and feedback will be provided. Curate intern’s LinkedIn profile to suit the role the intern is looking for in the industry. 

Week 5: Intern to conduct a presentation based on the problem statement for 2-5 mins and provide recommendations based on the findings from Week 2 to Week 4. Revisit intern’s resume and LinkedIn to check alignment.

Week 6:  Intern to conduct a presentation based on the problem statement for 2-5 mins and provide recommendations based on the findings from Week 2 to Week 4. Intern to participate in mock interviews based on the work completed from Week 1 until Week 5.

Week 7: Intern to participate in mock interviews based on the work completed from Week 1 until Week 6.

Week 8: Open questions discussion.
